MERAK DIVING
YOUR DIVE CENTER IN MENORCA
Merak Diving, a scuba diving centre with two locations around the island, Mahón & Fornells, allowing us to offer a great variety of dive sites. In both sites we dive in the two Menorcan marine reserves, “Reserva Marina de Isla del Are” and “Reserva Marina de Fornells”. Where many of the best dive sites in Menorca can be found. Our recommendation: dive in both locations with your dive pack.
We offer a variety of diving activities: initiation dives, scuba training, SSI specialty courses and daily dives from both dive points and for all ability levels. Our team of highly qualified instructors will accompany you every step of the way as you experience the unique and beautiful depths of Menorca. Our dive centres are fully equipped with Mares brand dive gear. The facilities are very convenient, with their respective dive boats docked in front of the centres.

XAVI BOQUÉ
Skipper and diving instructor.
1979, Barcelona. Founded Merak Charter in 2004. Harbouring a deep passion for the sea, Xavi has more than 20 years of experience in the nautical sector. Qualified with a degree in business management, Patrón de Cabotaje and dive instructor. Owner of Nautidoc, a nautical management firm in Barcelona. Xavi is the technical director of both the dive centre and the nautical school. His philosophy: calmness and optimism in all he does, this is the secret that makes learning from him both a privilege and a pleasure.
LAURA LLONGUERAS
Skipper and diving instructor
1989 Barcelona. A partner of the Merak group since 2014. Working for Merak since 2012. Dive instructor and skipper. Laura is equally at home in the mediterranean during the summer and the snow and mountains in the winter, where she works as a skiing instructor. She manages the logistics of both the diving and the nautical school, although she is comfortable in all environments; underwater, onboard a boat or very often glued to the telephone. A jack of all trades! Laura is responsible for the company’s marketing and communications.
DANIEL VIDAL
Diving instructor
1994, Menorca. An SSI A.O.W instructor since 2014. With a degree in Marine Biology. A great teacher, he does not miss a single detail in his lessons, always transmitting his foremost principle: respecting the environment. He is passionate about diving and all marine life. Diving with Dani always holds special value, you are sure to learn something new about one marine species or another. He loves travelling to new diving destinations, where he often spends the winter developing projects related to biology.
CAMILA GEFFROY
Diving instructor
1990, Toulouse. O.W PADI instructor since 2009. With a degree in Criminal Law. Her great passion for the sea and diving brought her to Menorca where she has been working in Merak for 4 years as an instructor. She practices apnea, in the water she is a fish. Diving with her is a pleasure, she transmits peace and tranquility underwater, outdoors always with a smile. Her native French is perfect for the training and care of all the French people who visit the dive center.
ENDIKA AGUILAR
Diving instructor
1984 Bilbao. A.O.W SSI instructor. Social educator, profession he practiced for several years until he decided to turn his passion for diving into his job. He did his intership at Merak Diving until he became a diving instructor, where he has continued working. In winter he dedicates himself to being a ski instructor, his other passion. Underwater he does not miss a thing, his professionalism is unquestionable in every way!
GUILLERMO MARTINEZ
Diving instructor
1987, Alicante. A.O.W PADI instructor. The fusion of sport with teaching is his thing. Diving instructor in summer, skiing instructor in winter. Guille has many years of experience in the world of teaching and training, with him the fun is assured, either learning or discovering our waters. His empathy and proximity make everyone feel at home.
